Winter Internship Review

This session at Youth in Progress, we had the choice of participating in either a fitness or blogging internship. For the fitness internship, we learned how to use all the equipment at the YMCA. For the blogging internship, we wrote posts for our Youth in Progress Blog. We learned about hygiene, safety, and being healthy at the fitness internship. Through the blogging internship, we learned how to brainstorm ideas, how to insert photos on the blog, and to communicate our ideas with others. Rachal said, "I had lots of fun doing the internships." Some potential careers or jobs that we could get using the skills we learned through the fitness internship include working at a gym, being a personal trainer or volunteering as a coach at a local school. With our blogging skills, we could become a web designer, a programmer, work in a computer store as technical support, or just have your own blog for fun. Through our internships this session, we learned a lot about fitness, blogging, and job skills.

Y.I.P. Poster

This is a Y.I.P. (Youth In Progress) poster I created, and drew everyone involved with Youth In Progress.

How to make a paper-craft person

First start with a template. ^^^

Next cut out the pieces. Don't forget the lines in the middle of the pieces. You can color in the pieces after this step.

After the parts have been cut out and decorated, it is time to fold them. Fold along the lines and fold the tabs over too. Finally connect the tabs with the same letters. Then it's done.

Frolicking

I had so much fun that day with Katie, Kevin and Brent. We saw some beach water and some sand. We also went to the seashore. I had fun frolicking. By Rachal
